Jim Tobias, trombone

Currently performing with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Jim has also appeared with ensembles including the Houston, Kansas City, and Fort Worth Symphonies, among others. In the summer of 2025, he performed with the Santa Fe Opera. He is a graduate of the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University and holds a bachelor’s degree from The Juilliard School. Most recently, Jim was a fellow with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida.
